In 1963, Jacqueline Lamba discovers the village of Simiane-la Rotonde in the Luberon region. From then on it is there that the artist spends all her summers, in a daily dialogue with the landscape, the changes in the light, the seasonal flowering, and the cloudy and sunny skies. She has found her own artistic style. Her palette lightens; her painting becomes bright with greens, pinks, purples. The quick and harmonious brushes of black and white, and the ink drawings suggest mountain paths covered with a profusion of flowers and trees.
